How to Make Ham Cheese Ball

This appetizer is super easy to make. Combine softened cream cheese, diced ham, cheddar cheese, swiss cheese, dijon, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and onion powder. Divide the mixture into two and shape into balls. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate. Before serving, roll each ball in chopped pecans and dried parsley.

  • You can make this several days in advanceand store in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve it. If making ahead, I suggest coating the cheese ball in nuts right before serving.
  • Can uselow-fat cream cheese to cut down on the calories.
  • Is Ham & Cheese Ball gluten-free? Yes! All of the ingredients in this recipe are gluten-free. Make sure to use Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce.
  • Store the cheese ball in the refrigeratorwrapped in plastic wrap and in an air-tight container or ziplock bag for up to 2 weeks.
  • To freeze the cheese ball, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap without the nuts. Place the cheese ball in a freezer bag and freeze up to a month. When ready to serve, thaw and roll in nuts before serving.

What to Serve with a Cheese Ball

I served this Ham and Cheese ball with some crackers. It would also be great with some celery or bell pepper slices. This recipe makes two cheese balls. Perfect for tailgating and SUPER BOWL parties. You could even roll these into mini cheeseballs so everyone has their own personal appetizer.
